The Best Start
The Montessori Method is the foremost way to build children's inner discipline and independence that serve as guiding values in their future educational endeavours.
Emphasizing compassion and collaboration in all interactions, children grow into confident and caring members of their community.
Daily bilingual instruction in French and English broaden children's minds and nurture their innate adventurous spirits.
Small classes enable children to access personalized support from our experienced educators in order to follow their interests and their natural desire to learn.
Both of our girls have attended CMA for their preschool years and we have been so impressed with the calm, loving, and supportive environment. Our children leave each day happy and content ready to share what they have learned. This is so different from the overstimulated chaotic environment we have experienced in other preschool settings. Ms. Inayat is a master educator and our children are entranced by her calm loving guidance. She is able to capture and hold their interest, they are able to learn new skills and grow, and we are excited to see what new skills they can learn each day. There is a strong sense of inclusion and belonging here and all children are welcome to come, learn, and be safe. - T.S. & G.T.

Born in France, raised in France, England, and the Netherlands, I was Montessori trained in Paris. I followed my passion for nurturing young minds to the United States, Mexico, and Canada opening Montessori Academies and spreading the principles of Love, Harmony, and Peace to families. I opened the International Montessori Academy here in the Cowichan Valley in 2016 and love the natural beauty of the people and the Island.
Help us grow
In order to expand our Montessori program, we need to enrol at least 10 children. To maintain our small classroom size, we have a limited number of spaces available for children ages 5 to 8 years old.
"The sheer amount that the kids are able to absorb and learn each day is incredible! At only three years old my daughter has been learning how to write her name, do math and puzzle solving, and how to get along in a classroom with her friends and teachers. The difference is night and day from other schools I have experienced."
- L.L. Parent to International Montessori Student
"When I was choosing a preschool for our daughter I really wanted to find somewhere that she would have the freedom to be a kid and have her independence fostered. We found the Montessori Academy to be the best fit for our family and she has learned so much in a year."
